In Vietnamese language, an empty/function, syntactic word is a class of words being used as a tool for expression of different semantic & grammatical relationship between notional words. An empty/function words have no semantic meaning.

The book was written by Mr. Tran Trong Kim (1883 - 1953) - one of the most prestigious and profound scholar and conscientious cultural researcher of Vietnam in early years of 20th century (in 1936). The book has took an important part in promoting and enhancing intellectual standard of Vietnam people of that time
