Sweden and Vietnam have a long history of working together in development cooperation. This photo-book visualized the two objects in a different but very distinct manner. Here we can follow the daily life in the Hmong commune of Suoi Giang in the Van Chan district of the Yen Bai province in the North of Vietnam. It is a poor area, and the Hmong people living high up in the mountains are among the poorest of the poor. The photos indeed give evidence of the hard working-day for the ethnic people in this area. But they also show something else - hard-working people with dignity, integrity, pride and joy. The photos convey respect for minority people and their cultural life.
